Personally, I dont think these are bots, but the price is definitely not $0.04-$0.05, at least for US/UK users. (he told me between $0.10 - $0.37 for low/moderate volumes)
Coming back to bots, has anyone an idea how script based downloads could work at all? What is the approach?
I don’t think he can get installs from those countries at that price either. For India it might be possible, as I got installs for as low as $0.10 with Facebook and I wasn’t doing any special targeting. And probably there are other countries where you can get installs for that price or even lower.
This one uses facebook its kinda of complicated to explain but the cost is 4-5 cents per download.

No his payment system was hard to explain but basically he wants $150 upfront and then each download is 4-5 cents and he even claims it can go down to 3 cents an install. I don’t like that $150 set up fee though , that doesn’t make sense to me .
120-250 downloads per day are not gonna do jack.
Best I achieved in USA by myself, on FB, was $0.15 for 1k daily downloads. 1k downloads in USA is not enough for anything, spare yourself the trouble.
Also, when you go for more volume, your CPI goes up, so there is no winning formula with FB, its either create a ton of campaigns with low budgets, or pay up the ass for installs.
i think what that guy does:
- scrapes facebook groups related to your app topic for user ids
- creates a custom audience on FB
- launches a campaign against that audience and calls it “laser targeting”
anyway, this results in a small niche of people which is probably not enough to rank anywhere anyway.
Alright I found another service for $5 you get 100 downloads of your app. Looks like BOT activity since he actually has a bunch of different services and they all have a lot of people in queue. I will let you decide

Ok here is how all these people get tons of 5 stars!! This guy uses a BOT not for installs but rating!! 75 ratings for only $5 oh how nice LOL. So now these guys are getting creative with their BOT use.

(The constant “Outstanding experience” in comments is strange.)
We also have to be careful with these people providing these services. We can never know for sure what is it that they are exactly doing.
Clash of Clans is dumping big money in ads. Hell there are even TV ads for simple casino slots games nowadays.

This is what us indie devs are dealing with. They are shoving that game down our throats. Every app I use i see an ad for Clash of Clans. It’s sickening.
I still think there is hope.
Clash of Clans makes more than $1 in average from each user, so each ad automatically brings them more money that it costs, no wonder they put their ads everywhere.
I installed Clash of clans. Didn’t see any ads. Only stuff is that the gems go down so quickly and there is no other quick way than IAP to get more gems.
Without gems game gets boring because it takes so much time to complete buildings/training troops etc.
Yes, I believe they make all their money from IAP.
Earning money because people are frustrated or impatient, that must be the recipe to success 
We were talking about ADs Clash of Clans had in other games and apps. They have tons of pop-up ADs and video ADs advertising clash of clans.
