Where to have an ebike serviced?

I am looking for recommendations on where to have an ebike serviced.

Authorised dealers like FullyCharged or the Electric Bike Shop are very expensive (£140 - 195 + parts, ie FullyCharged will charge you £195 just for looking at the bike, even if nothing needs changing).

I know of the Bellevue Bike Kiosk near Wandsworth Common and Fettle in Putney.
Does anyone know of, or have experience with, others?

I get it that these shops won’t be able to update the software, fix things like charging problems, and maybe not even source original accessories. But, for all things mechanical, any decent bike mechanic should be able to work on a ebike - a chain is a chain and brake pads are brake pads, at the end of the day…

There used to be a bike shop in Southfields but it closed down (or moved, I don’t know).

There is Trek near Wandsworth Bridge but I’m not sure they service non-Trek bikes.

Thanks!

A lot of standard bike mechanics can handle the mechanical side of e-bikes, but when it comes to software updates or battery issues, you’re right—authorized dealers are usually needed. If you’re looking for alternatives to FullyCharged or Electric Bike Shop, you might want to check out Balfe’s Bikes in Chiswick, they have a solid reputation for servicing e-bikes. Also, Peleton & Co near Battersea Park might be worth a shot.
For general maintenance, some mobile bike repair services (like Fix Your Cycle) could be an option too. They can come to you and handle most standard repairs.
By the way, if you’re also into home workouts, folding bikes might interest you: https://coach.org.uk/best-folding-exercise-bikes/— handy if you’re mixing cycling with indoor training.
