My kids have been playing Roblox for a long time and love Universal. We were sad to have to cancel our March trips, so when they found out Universal had developed a game, we had to try it out.
It is not an exact replica of either Orlando or Hollywood, but it definitely has the look and feel down. I had set my expectations really low, since Roblox graphics are intentionally blocky (like Minecraft), but I was very impressed. They used the actual audio from some of the rides and even have a Back to the Future ride. There is also a Cababa Bay hotel that you can rent a room.
did you end up pushing the game to other platforms or sticking with Universal Windows? I’ve been curious whether optimization or monetization works differently on that build compared to Android. Would love to hear how things turned out or if anyone else has tried something similar since then.
I had more luck after adding a few mini games and small daily rewards to keep players coming back. Also looked into popular mechanics like blox fruits trading to understand what keeps users engaged and it gave me some good ideas for item exchange features. Engagement boosted a bit after that, so maybe try pulling in mechanics that are already trending with Roblox players.
