Making money offline - the monetising conundrum.

Hi All,

Generally we want to create games or apps which are available to everyone everywhere and anytime. Having an “offline” mode is really useful for this if your users are frequent travellers, wary of their download limits, or based in countries with really patchy internet/mobile signals. So the question I pose to you is…how do we as a developer/publisher make money during these offline sessions?

Mobile advertising generally requires a connection so that people can access the content if they clickon the advert - even cached adverts would still require this. IAP requires connection in order complete the purchases. So yeah, has anyone managed to crack this problem, and how did they manage to do it?
