The worst thing is that most “big players” manipulate app rating with fake reviews!
These are German ratings of Castle Clash.

is anybody really surprised? look at Candy crush, same $hit there. My guess - if your app has in-app purchases google will let you get away with almost anything
When you say in-app purchases, is like buy the pro-version? I don’t understand.
In app purchases (IAP) are the purchases of virtual goods inside the game. In Candy Crush Saga, for example, you can buy lives to continue playing without waiting until you get a new life.
Just wondering how everyone’s getting on now? Mine are still falling although my daily downloads are still increasing. It looks to me, going by my graphs at least, that Google changed the calculations and things are still falling into line. Although a hard pill to swallow it makes me think that it’s now a more accurate reflection of what users think of my app, but at the end of the day if downloads are still strong I won’t get hung up on dropping a couple of points (as it appears that most people are in the same boat).
Bad ratings by kids is still a problem for me. I put up the maturity rating on one of my other free musical apps. Ok, I can stand bad ratings, but not if they are from kids who do not have any need for the app, or involvement in any musical activity.
Just wanted to share this one: A kids game that is meant for 3-year olds, but the creators gave it a ‘low maturity’ rating. To prevent 12-year olds to rate it? (pun intended)
