Google DoubleClick for Publishers

Does anyone know what type of ads these are: https://developers.google.com/mobile-ads-sdk/docs/dfp/advanced

It seems you can do banners and interstitials and more. How are they different from regular admob banners and interstitials? There’s instructions at the previous link to implement them, but does anyone know how to choose them in the admob console?

Yeah I am wondering the exact same thing.

It’s not an ad network. It’s a marketing platform if you want to manage and sell your own ad inventory. Similar to Mopub. You have to pay to use it.

I’m using DoubleClick for Publishers to serve display ads on this website (for free). It lets me manage my own inventory, as well as integrate with third-party ad selling platforms such as AdSlot and BuySellAds.

I did try setting up DFP for mobile ads a while ago, but it was all too complicated so I stuck with MoPub. It seems as if they have different types of accounts - a basic free account (which is what I’m using), and some kind of enterprise account with access to more features.

DFP is a mediation platform for web and mobile. Technically speaking, its an ad server.
