As you may know all the Flow titled games are suspended on US playstore, including mine. Now I was wondering what to do next. I e-mailed the attorney for asking to authorize google to republish the game on US playstore. But I think we shouldn’t make illusions about it, because why would they do that as it is not in their interest and I haven’t heard from them since.
Now is it allowed to take the whole game down an republish it under a new name? Or is it better and allowed to upload one new game for US playstore only?
What is the normal thing to do in a situation like this? And do you think they will also try to bring down the flow games in other countries and maybe on Apple appstore?

It might end where it started, but then again it might affect all geos and all stores before it ends.
The safest way of doing it is to re-publish with a new name etc so that it does not violate their IP or other rights.
Ask for permission after your name is changed. If they give it, then you can get Google to republish in the US. If not, then you can re-upload a new version of the app in US only (if you want) with the name change. Maybe try sending existing US users to that new app via cross promotion to boost starting downloads.
Also, I think Apple is a lot more forgiving with these and will ask you to change your name instead of just taking it off the US market. But either way, Flow Free is on iOS too so if you want no trouble, just try changing the name now instead of risking it.

Another approach would be to complain to the US patents and trademarks office about the trademark been granted for such a common word. Don’t hold your breath though, as there was a consultation period before the trademark was granted, when any objections should have been raised (no idea how anyone is supposed to know that there was an application to object to though)
That might also be a good idea Rhames games.
Is this allowed to have 2 versions of the same game? One in the USA the other in de rest of the countries?
