First Aid Kit Essentials

Hi all! Embarrassingly, I believe the first aid kit we have was given to us as a gift in 2015 or earlier. It has never been replenished. This was an issue when DS1 needed aid and it was too late at night to go to any pharmacies, so we had to make do with what we had (poorly). Anyway, what is in your first aid kit? I will be going shopping to make up a few kits, one for each car, the nappy bag and one larger one for home. I will do some research online of course, but thought maybe there are some items you swear by having that may be a bit unusual or not typical?

I already have a bunch of gauze pads (sigh), multiple tubes of paw paw ointment for small scratches and stings, some small band-aids.

Thank you in advance.

EDIT: Is it better to buy a few of these? Buy one get one free at the moment 😮 https://firstaidkitsaustralia.com.au/k150-compact-remote-area-softpack-first-aid-kits

I can totally relate to the magic of snacks in calming down a little one! I actually keep a pack of FitRight Aloe Personal Cleansing Wipes in my first aid kit now too. They’re super gentle and perfect for wiping away dirt after a tumble. Once, my toddler tripped and scraped his knee, and while he was crying, I used one of those wipes, and it really helped soothe him (and clean up the mess). They’re a lifesaver! You can find them here if you’re curious: https://www.unitymedicalsupplies.com. Plus, I think every parent could use a few magic gummi bears in their bag!
