Do I need to install drain tiles under my turf & foamon concrete?

I’m working on a project for a back patio hitting area. My plan is to cover a 10’x16’ concrete patio with 1” foam tiles, followed by putting turf. I feel like I’ve paid close attention to the details as I’ve been planning this, but it occurred to me today that when it rains, the water wont have anywhere to go. The area I’m installing this in is pretty much flat and it’s not covered.

The foam tiles I ordered say they can be hosed off… but I’m wondering if I need to start by putting something like this down. Would these work or should I look at something else? If anyone knows of anything cheaper that would work, I’d greatly appreciate you sharing because I’m ultimately trying to do this in as budget friendly way as possible.

did anyone end up installing a drainage system under turf foam on concrete? I’ve been thinking about doing something similar and wondering if puddling becomes an issue over time, even with basic slope. Would love to hear updates or how your projects held up after some rain.

I had a similar setup and learned the hard way that drainage is key when you’ve got turf over concrete. I didn’t install drain tiles, and water pooled under the foam until I sorted out the source. Turned out to be runoff from a broken downspout. Fixed it with a solid gutter repair Dallas company, and it made a big difference in keeping the space dry.
