I want to share my experience with Appodeal so far.
I have previously been using admob exclusively. However, recently I have not been satisfied with the revenue provided by admob, so I decided to give Appodeal a try.
Within the first day, the eCPM was almost doubled with Appodeal compared to that of admob.
I also made a withdrawal with the money earned the first day to see if they really paid as advertised. They did.
Within few hours I received notification from PayPal that a payment had been received from Appodeal.
I am extremely satisfied so far with this service, and I can do nothing but recommend it to everybody!
appodeal-1.10.10.jar is quite big in size it will add 1MB to your app when you implement appodeal with unity + there is misspell in Docs on Unity in section “Manual interstitial caching”

I think you could also share a breakdown by country, because I assume the majority of the traffic is not coming from the U.S.
Some users might be confused and think that this numbers are coming from the U.S.
In my case it´s a bit problematic, as I have an interstitial when the user leaves the application, which means I need the callback to finally quit the application.
I see that you disabled autoCache that leads to banners not being cached in our SDK automatically
So calling Initialize doesn’t cache any banners and consequently to no callbacks being called as no banner is being cached. If you want autoCached disabled you need to call cachebanner manually
The problem is that it now displays the banner only the first time. When I restart the app, it will never show any banner again.
As I don´t fully understand your SDK, I think I´m calling something at the wrong place.
Now I´m calling cacheBanner right after initialize, is this correct?
If I would re-enable the auto cache, would this affect the eCPM in any negative way, as there will be way more fills than impressions?

it has been now more than a week . we have integrated appodeal sdk in two of our games.my overall opinion about appodeal is not satisfactory though they did pay when i requested.But migrating from admob to appodeal did not have any change on our revenue in case of our first game.we were expecting atleast 30% increase in revenue but so far have no WOW moment with appodeal.2nd game was earning around $9/day with admob in less impressions.but with appodeal it had made only 3$ with 26k impressions.I am in direct contact with pavel from appodeal.But its my duty to post sincere review here.I was planning to implement all of our 50 plus games.but i think not yet.Let see how it rolls for another week.I will try to make a new thread about my experience so everyone knows the true stats of our implementation
I have been using Appodeal in my 7~8 apps since 3th, April.It’s almost a month. Before integrating Appodeal, I use admob only and it was my major income. But revenue from admob went down a lot since last December because of its new ad policy, so i wanted to try appodeal. So far in Appodeal, comparing to admob, the revenue of a few apps perform a lot better, some perform a little better, some perform almost the same. Overall, as for the revenue, I think Appodeal is better than admob and I am satisfy with it. I have requested payment for 2 times before the scheduled payment date, one was paypal, another one was wire transfer. They did it fast on paypal, and several days later on wire transfer. This is the feature that no other ad network can provide and I am satisfy with this.
My only concerns on Appodeal are:
It’s an optimized ad mediation network who has no advertiser now. Our apps, as publishers, get integrated in 3rd party ad network such as admob, chartboost as independent apps, or as a combined app sharing among different apps. In the latter case, even it’s not related to Google Play ad policy, but I wonder if it’s compliant with its integrated 3rd party ad networks. Such as Facebook Audience Network, it requires manual approval for every app, but in Appodeal, they don’t not have such process.
It’s a new and small company now. It needs time to prove they are stable enough.
Here are a few technical advice:
Because of its feature, Appodeal need more time to load an ad than other network, so you need to cache the ad before show it. Since the autocache is true in default, so you don’t need to care many about it. But if you make autocache as false, you need to deal with it carefully. Especially when using Appodeal in admob mediation, since admob mediation has 10 seconds time out for every ad network, you need to deal with it carefully or use the admob adapter,
Put all the listener methods running in UI thread. Since some ad network such as Applovin require this, else it will go wrong and may not show future ads in that app session.
