I have multiple apps still up. Noticed the traffic is way down lately. I go to search them and cant find them. Cleared cookies, cache and they are still up. I can search by package name and find them. Alot of these apps were top ranked applications in their niche and have been extremely easy to find. Is Google having issues with the platform?
Let me know if anyone else is experiencing similar things.
The app is still there (both in the store and in my developer console) but cannot be found by any of the usual search terms for which it was ranking in the top 3 apps. It is still exists a few very obscure search terms but way way down.
This app was getting 10-000+ downloads a day and generating a lot of IAP. Definitely no copyright violations in the content and the description was not flooded with keywords. The search terms it ranked highly for were not trademarks. I should also say I was not using Admob.
It has happened to us before. Just log out from the email id and you will find it.
It has something to do with the email ids with which we are logged in.
See I actually thought about this too. I have tried everything. But when it literally is making a fraction of the money, getting barely any installs etc. I know its not just an issue with me its universal. The apps legit are nowhere to be seen. Its strange. Hopefully it sorta fixes itself.
I agree. Things in this relative nature have happened before to the market. It could be a bug. It would be understandable if it was 1 of my apps or something. But its basically all of them. Im not going to get into detail of what niche i do but its not random. It happened within 24 hours. Im hoping it will correct itself soon because im basically getting next to no traffic to my apps which is lame. I keep searching up keywords and i have found my apps a couple times now… Im assuming its slowly but surely fixing itself… fingers crossed!
t-frazzz: did your apps appear normally in the Google Play downloads charts?
I believe there are certain apps that get blacklisted from charts regardless of how many downloads they get and I’m now wondering if there is a link between that and this new search issue.
