i have the exact same feeling. i have published 4 apps in last 3 week and non of them got 100+ daily downloads.
Wait we are talking about daily or total downloads? Because daily 100+ is not that easy.
Maybe only me, but i feel that daily install rate is heavily related with current install and total install. Anyway, here is my statistics
Start developing on android about 2.5 month ago (weekend project), currently have 8 apps.
My Current Install is about 50% of total installs
$0 & 0 hour spent on marketing
Here is the total install vs daily install
1-100 Total Installs : get 1-10 daily Installs
100-1.000 Total Installs:get 20-100 daily Installs
1.000-10.000 Total Installs: get 50-200 daily Installs
>10.000 : get about 400+ daily Installs
Until now, i get about 50k total Installs from total app, the highest one got 22k total Installs
Revenue until now :
admob banner : $5-$10 per day from total app
appbrain wall (on exit): $2-$3 per day from total app (I’m using appbrain since 6 days ago)
1st month revenue: $25
2nd month revenue: $240
3rd month revenue : $220 (because some bugs that i late to fix)
I have the same observation, thanks for the stats
My first few received between 1 - 10 downloads a day and have maxed out at around 100 a day. However my newest one received over 300 on it’s first few hours, first full day over a 1000, and at less than a month old I hit over 10,000 downloads in a day yesterday.
