Guys, whats wrong with Startapp?? Some day you have 0,2 ecpm another day 0,1, antoher 0,05. The banners ecpm is almost 0. And I have a lot of impressions?

I can assure StartApp is not scam. They pay every penny however from some last days their eCPM lowered to 1/4 of previous eCPM.
I received it tonight. Startapp maybe have not good ecpm at this time but our company always not scam. I believe them.

I am having the same issue with StartApp. eCPM’s used to be good $2-4 until recently. I could have managed with $1 eCPM if it was constant. However, my eCPM has dropped to < $0.3 eCPM. I have tried to understand why this is and I chanced upon this answer from StartApp which explains it clearly.

So in the first few weeks after my app launched (500 new installs/day), I was getting higher eCPMs and this started falling gradually to now. From the link, I believe what happened to my app was people were installing my app and then installing apps that were shown via StartApp ads. Thus, I was making higher eCPMs. Now that my app has sort of saturated (~70-100 new downloads a day), I have a large user base but most of them have already installed the apps shown via StartApp ads. Thus, the app is being used by a large population but no new apps are installed via StartApp, thus resulting in me losing eCPM.
The only solution for me, is to move to another ad network, preferably through mediation (mopub most likely as it works on Froyo, Admob requires minimum 2.3.3) where I can get paid for impressions and not just app installs.
