Percentage of users that buy stuff on in-app purchase apps

I read on raywenderlich dot com that just 2% of the user base buys stuff on mobile apps.

This piece of information was from 2013, so it’s a bit old. Also, it is a general rule, but I am pretty sure that the percentage of buyers very from country to country.

Does anyone knows what is the percentage of buyers per country?

There are no rules. It completely depends on how well or aggressive your IAP are integrated. One of our apps has a conversion rate of 0.1%. Another one 3%. And one of our paid games 30%.
You can expect to get better conversions from rich countries, but this also depends on how well received your app is in this country. Some might perform better in US, others in Japan.
