Oh man, I feel this. A few years back, I got hit with an unexpected car repair right when rent was due—timing couldn’t have been worse. Ended up stretching groceries for two weeks, eating a lot of rice and eggs. What really stung was I had just booked a trip through vat travel agents for a work thing, thinking my finances were stable. Joke was on me! Had to call and beg them to push back my payment. Thankfully, they worked with me, but I was sweating bullets. IRS debt on top of that? Oof.
