my competitor copy all my app content

Hi,
One of my competitor copy all my app content and images and upload it as a new app to the play.google.com store

i already try to contact him (with no success) and also send mails to Google about him and also fill all the relevant “report form” with the problematic app but nothing happened with no comment from their side already more them 2 months.

Do you have any idea how i can remove his app from the store
(any idea will be accepted…)

Sadly this is appears to be the nature of the game, fill out the forms, someone at google might look at it if you are lucky…

I’ve had people replicate my apps and descriptions. Best I could do was hurl abuse at the dev via skype

Sorry to hear that! It’s sounds like it’s kind of a big deal, so I would stop wasting your time with emails and pick-up the telephone. Regardless of whether or not you are actually able to reach your competitor, you definitely need to speak with the right person at Google in order to try and resolve this, though I’m not sure how easy it will be OR if it’s even possible? As trying to ‘remove’ it from the site yourself would require their ‘private’ information, and even if you do somehow have that info, using it may be considered almost as bad as what they/your competitor supposedly did! site243 I didn’t understand what is being copied: description, idea, icons, or the entire application was copied and the competitor just changed the package name and ads provider?

At the same time I wholeheartedly hope you succeed I think Google don’t care about indies. If you were a big enterprise, on the other hand…

Even bigger indies have trouble dealing with Google when it happends, so the best thing you can do is just making your apps hard to copy and report the abusers.
