I am a developer and have no skills as a graphics designer. I am starting to get into apps and games for android. My issue is that my app looks horrible, I’m sure any games I write will also look horrible (My plan is to use Unity for games as I am a c# developer).
So how do other developers make their apps look good? (Don’t want to spend much money on this as it is currently just a small hobby)

Quite simple, they either outsource the work (either via websites like odesk and elance, or locally etc) or they are part of a development team.
Some of us are luck enough to have skills in both areas 
I have also no much graphic skills but I try my best. I am using unity too.
You could go for pixel games. It’s much easier. Or just google for some game elements to learn from them (without stealing of course :P)
