I was told that if i want to start making games i will have ti spend lots and lots of money with patents, and that every game maker takes the risk of spending 3500+ dollars patenting their apps before publishing them. Is this true?
Games and Names are not patentable.
You can trademark the name (Till your game is popular no point in trademarking name either).
WHEN you make lots and lots of money, you will want to trademark name nad logo you have, and then spending 3500+ USD will seem like pennies.
