Is Google Ads Policy Compliance if the ads direct download an apps?

I want to know if it is google ads policy compliance if the ads direct download an apps without via Google play.

Mobvista has this option to choose to enable or disable. But I don’t know should I disable this option.

Thanks for advice.

For what I understand, requiring a user to install an APK file is considered risky. I would keep the option disabled for google play.

But I have checked the google ads policy page (Developer Policy Center)

There are no limitation for asking users direct download and install an APK file but only cannot update our own app without via Google Play.

Anyway, I would disable this option for safe.
