Google Now Reviewing all old apps?

Recently we got a notice from google about 3 year old app for keywords to update in 7 days (a 3 line description for some strange reason google thought has spam content).

Anyone else seeing that google is reviewing all old apps and sometimes pointing weirdly small/no issues?

Yes, you can even break all new policy and not get ban. Usually after apk update, your app will be reviewed. I have apps from 2013 January, version 1.0 and google don’t care :wink:
You had just luck to get review :wink:

Weirdly this is app from 2001 and never even updated since then (The app is not updated in 3+ years).
It has 3 lines description and with no irrelevant keywords. Google generates a 7 days warning saying spam keywords.

Just luck, google play is now huge and bot will not check apps in real time except Bouncer, I think it’s random choice.

my account got banned for keyword spamming in nov of 2013 for having this

“please checkout my other LWP, Live Wallpapers, Themes, backgrounds”

But yet I see this in other peoples apps that been there for years.

Google has been targeting Live wallpaper apps since last year to clear mass number of copyrighted graphics in the wallpaper. Wallpaper is more easy to check against Google policy in my opinion.

I never understand why they ban people for keywords (by algorithm that makes mistakes) instead of requesting to fix the description like all other stores do.
