Advices on my Admob Mediation configuration

Hi everyone,

My first post here! :slight_smile:

I read a lot of topics concerning Admob medition but I am still confused about the configuration.

At first I was using Admob network alone, and only 2 days ago I switched to Admob mediation to see how it goes.
I added for now 3 other networks: Inmobi, Mobfox and Domob (for China only). I wanted to add MMedia but got problems with it so it is disabled for now.

Before going on with my questions, here is the situation right now:

There are 3 ad units:

  • Diary Interstitial (removed on my new app version, not working as good as expected)
  • Diary banner (the old banner when I was using Admob network alone)
  • Diary banner mediation (new banner used for the mediation)

Here are my 4 questions:

  1. First thing I don’t understand clearly is, where do I find the eCPM that everybody’s talking about? I know I can calculate it, but I don’t see it in the stats, or is it what they call “Request RPM”?

  2. Is my floor beta value too low or too high? The fill rate is very good (close to 100%), but at the same time I see that the fill rate for Admob floor beta alone is quite bad (around 40%), does it mean the floor beta is too high? Do I have to check the global fill rate alone or the fill rate for Admob floor beta only?

  3. What do you think about my statistics right now? I only use a banner, do you have any advices?

  4. I am finally getting a good number of downloads per day now (getting close to 2000), is it a good idea to add a separate network with good CPI or it is not worth it?

Thanks a lot in advance, I am really confused on this mediation setup and would like to at least avoid big mistakes.

Your impressions are good but your earnings compared to the number of impressions seems very low i dont know what type of users you have and what is your app type

Well you are right I forgot to give more details about the app itself:

  • It is an advanced diary, published in the ‘Lifestyle’ category
  • Users are mostly young women or teenagers
  • For the stats posted, I used a refresh rate of 40 seconds
  • The banner itself is located just below the actionbar, on all screens

Question 1)ECPM = RPM in new admob
Question 2)Floor beta is going to have less fill rate
so it’s like you put RPM manually in configuration
a) Admob floor beta
b)second highest ecpm network
c)Third highest ecpm network
d)May be regular admob
e)your house ad

Question 3)
If you and your customer prefer, you may user interstitial (it improves revenue a lot but same time annoys customer a lot)

Question 4)IN my view you already have four networks, I believe they are good to go list , but still It’s up to you to add more, my only suggestion is that be careful while adding new network.
