Hi,
Yes a lot of my reviews for my app are from fiverr and no none of the reviews for my clients are from fiverr.
Now let me tell you why reviews from fiverr aren’t a good source. Most people on fiverr give reviews from different gmail accounts themselves,on different emulators (instead of a real device)
which results in the same ip,(because the source of their internet is the same and unchanged ) which might get you banned if your app is new.
Let me tell you why the app will not be banned if the app is popular,
have you ever thought, that if the app is popular, a lot of people from a single community ,like college, office might use it,and give a review?
And if they are sharing the community net, then the ip will be the same for each of those reviews.
google takes that into consideration (that your app is popular and a lot of people from a single community can be using it,hence the buffer for which the app will be banned is high)
So if your app is popular ,you can buy reviews from fiverr,
and yes you can buy them again and again,do you know why?
Because google deletes it’s data base (where it keeps track of the ip of where these reviews are coming from)
Now i won’t give you the exact source of my reviews, but here is the thing, google “android app review” or “review exchange”,that’s where i get the reviews for my clients.
One such group is even on this forum. @pongman i would appreciate it if you stop making assumptions. @celaeno,i would appreciate that if something is concerning you,you ask about it from me first.
Oke thanks for the info. I’m also a bit sceptical, but according to Ankit the reviews are only needed for a certain period. His app is still online and has 1 million downloads, so he must be doing something good I think.
the thing is that people who are getting these reviews from fiverr don’t have high downloads. they are seeking high downloads so fiverr reviews getting removed is a waste of money. Apple even sends you an email that we detected fake reviews and if we detect it again, we will remove your app from app store. google also has a category for banning apps with manipulative reviews.
Spam and Placement in the Store
Developers are important partners in maintaining a great user experience on Google Play.
Do not post repetitive content.
Do not use irrelevant, misleading, or excessive keywords in apps descriptions, titles, or metadata.
Developers must not attempt to change the placement of any Product in the Store, or manipulate any product ratings or reviews by unauthorized means such as fraudulent installs, paid or fake reviews or ratings, or by offering incentives to rate products.
Apps that are created by an automated tool or wizard service must not be submitted to Google Play by the operator of that service on behalf of other persons.
Do not post an app where the primary functionality is to:
Drive affiliate traffic to a website or
Provide a webview of a website not owned or administered by you (unless you have permission from the website owner/administrator to do so)
Do not send SMS, email, or other messages on behalf of the user without providing the user with the ability to confirm content and intended recipient.
I sold him the method, not the services
that’s why he wrote "ankit’s methods"are working
but still you assumed that i am giving reviews from fiverr on celaeno’s apps .
But nevermind,i don’t see a concluding end to this conversation
leave fiverr apart. source can be custom bot solution, fiverr, facebook, this forum etc… those kind of reviews can be got using bots, incent based by paying money to real people, purchasing cheap android devices on your own or review exchange.
Ankit’s methods was definitely violating spam policy for excessive keywords, and fake reviews (assume that many long and keywords contained reviews are fake) based on the policy document. He is not work for Google, what he assured is not going to be 100% truth.
The bottom line is his method can increase your downloads, and ranking, but keep in mind the associated risks with it, as it was BLACK HAT method as confirmed by him. You know how Google penalty website ranking if they find out you are using black hat SEO method, if not find it out.
I don’t know what the problem is that you are unable to understand.
Suppose I ask you to give me one review, and i will give a review in return, will you use a bot for it ?
you won’t understand my concern because u didn’t read what i said in above posts.
FYI: your clients are reaching out to me in private for advise on your methods. you are lucky (because ur app wasn’t banned due to reviews which try to manipulate app’s rank) doesn’t mean everyone is lucky.
Hi I don’t know if it is wise to lay down all your methods in forum for all to see.
But somehow I believe there are enough of such black hats tactics that now google play
is putting in place a ratings certification. Something like SSL certificate concept I would think.
It will not solve the current problem of fake reviews but it just make the job harder than it is now currently.
In fact I believe this ratings certification will be made a mandatory requirement in the coming future to get your app listed in google play.
So I guess now black hats tactics need to evolve to game this new ratings certifications.
Sometime it make me wonder, making monies via apps download, ad revenue using black hats tactics is quite lame.
Reason being if monies is all you care about, online legal/illegal betting can get you much more monies in a much shorter period of time.
Maybe that is why I seldom see such people posting in forums.
They are busy making monies gambling online than spend time to type long essays in forums.
Or worst, attempt to sell your tactics for monies
Yes,that’s becausehe thought he has “decoded” my methods and was implementing it himself after the trial.
As I said,my methods are more than reviews and backlinks
