Hey everyone,
I am interested in finding out what you all think is the best social media to leverage for app downloads. I’m not talking about buying advertising through conventional social media ads (example: facebook ads) but leveraging the users to get free/cheap exposure, whether it be with white hat or black hat tactics.
For me, Reddit has been the best one so far and the users there love my apps, but I’ve seen numerous cases where Reddit has hurt other developers with tons of negative reviews from users if they feel like they are being abused.
Instagram has no links in the picture posts so it’s pretty hard to lead the users there to downloads.
Twitter seems to be all automated with no real people on it anymore.
Facebook has a lot of spam control methods so it is difficult to spam.
