Which ad network(s) for Banner, Interstitials + X ?

Well, you need to learn to sift through this and experiment. $1.xx with banners is really unheard of. What was the refresh rate?

yeah - $1++ for banner is very suspicious … seems like somebody was " helping" you with some clicks maybe…

Guys I don’t want to blow my own trumpet, but I get $1+ RPM with banners on quite a few of my apps. This is with Admob, with 45 seconds refresh and really mixed geo traffic.

Refresh rate was 60 seconds. No one was helping (as far as I know). I had this $1.xx CPM with (mostly) over 10k impressions per day, sometimes over 100k.

Admob is really good, but I think I can’t use my old Admob account when the Google Play Developer account (same email) has been banned. A new account with same bank connection wouldn’t be much better.

Background: I have a friend whose Admob account was closed by Google. He never received the money, some thousands of dollars. Exactly THIS is what I really need to avoid!

I’m certain that any Network can hold your payments or at least a certain in some cases. This can be due to some fraudulent activity observed in your account or even if Advertisers don’t pay the Ad Network. The latter is not under your control or even in the control of Ad Networks. Your best bet would be to perhaps work with Networks wherein you can have your own AM or at least where you could have a good communication link formed. This way you can at least start a dialogue if such a situation were to arise.

That and some more extensive research should tell you which ad networks you should use. But I’d recommend using multiple and having Admob in the mix just to generate steady income.

At what CTR? I only had such high eCPM when I by mistake put the ads too close to buttons. In my engaging app it’s max. $0.30 in adMob (higher in other networks). I had above $1 when I had no refresh rate by mistake.

I used [b]AppFlood[/b] in my games, and Appbrain in my other apps, both interstitial. Better than banner for me.

I had a very bad impression of AppFlood in my 1-2 day tests of it every time - I did not leave it on for long (perhaps there is some impact of that ?).

But how would you rate revenue achievable from AppFlood vs. banners in the same app - or AppFlood vs. Admob interstitials (even better if you have some sense of this).

I have not tried putting banners consistently across the game interface. I placed the banner in a “game won” scene, then I replaced the banner with a big “more games” button that opened an app wall. This had same or better income than the banner without the “advert feel”. The banner used were also Appflood.

It is not a good comparison perhaps because I didn’t have banners in game play (or because pay per install Appflood banners are not so good). Also I have never used admob interstitials.

I tried AdBuddiz for Interstitials. Very easy to integrate, fast support, but my CPM is much less than one dollar when I’m showing the ad between 0 and 1 times per usage with most users in US.

So I’m still searching for a better paying network and also for banners.

Keep in mind, this is an average figure for all apps and based on your performance, you can expect even higher eCPMs. :slight_smile:

@inspi : SE Asia countries are 2nd tier countries & as a benchmark I’m getting 0.55 eCPM with admob’s banner ads for these countries. I believe that with 1st tier countries you’ll be getting more than 90 cents with AdIquity.

@AdIquity:I’m still not clear with your payout model & would like you to clarify these following questions:

  1. Do you pay per impression/click/install for your banner ads ?

  2. Do you pay per impression/click/install for your interstitial ads ?

  3. Is there any mechanism to filter the ads - gambling/pornography/dating ads ?

Spot on there @WNASH. For US, Eu we also have 20+ major DSP’s bidding on our inventory through our exchange. This will definitely give you better eCPMs.

With regards to payout, we run a wide variety of campaigns; CPC, CPM, CPI and CPA and we optimize the campaigns to deliver the best eCPM to our developer partners.

Also, as a network we do not work with adult apps nor do we serve adult ads. For gambling and dating ads we only serve such ads in countries where it is legal after taking the developers consent.

If your CPM is much lower than $1, I agree it is disappointing! I would love to take a look at your apps and your account in order to give you tips and improve these figures.

Our publishers on AdBuddiz generate much higher CPMs on average. (some do even reach CPMs higher than $10).
That being said, I would like to underline the fact that CPM will depend on how your ad impressions convert into installs. Therefore, displaying the ads at the right moment during the user experience can have a huge impact on the results (and that’s where we can give you tips :wink:

Moreover, your CPM on AdBuddiz should increase over time, as we have developed an advanced algorithm, which learns the behaviours of your apps users. Our system gives the highest visibility to the best performing ads in your apps. For our system to do this, it needs to be in place for a minimum period to gather sufficient data. Your SDK has a size of 831 kilobytes. Is there any smaller option? That’s more than most of my apps are including all other SDKs.
