Preparation for plasma therapy.
The plasma therapy procedure requires certain preparation, including the following rules.
Visit a doctor’s consultation, who will prescribe the necessary studies and, if necessary, cancel taking a number of medications (disaggregants, procoagulants and anticoagulants).Determine the volume and place of administration.
Undergo laboratory and instrumental examination.
In 3-5 days, completely exclude spicy, fatty, sweet foods, alcoholic beverages.
Increase water consumption in 5 days (about 2 liters per day).
Light meals are allowed 3 hours before the procedure.
Technique of execution.
First, the doctor takes venous blood in an amount of 10 to 50 milliliters into a test tube with a pre-added substance (sodium heparin) that prevents blood clotting, which is placed in special equipment - a centrifuge. During centrifugation, the blood is divided into erythrocyte mass and platelet-rich plasma, which must be collected in a syringe and injected into the affected area, pretreated with antiseptics. If necessary, the injection site can be locally anesthetized. Plasma injections can be carried out into the joint cavity (especially important for the treatment of arthrosis), muscle tissue or periarticular tissues. The action begins within the first hour and lasts for at least a week. The duration of the manipulation does not exceed 30 minutes.

How often you need to repeat the session.
Despite the fact that the positive effect is noticeable after the first procedure, experts recommend undergoing plasma therapy courses that include, depending on the pathology, a certain number of injections. So, after 30 minutes, the pain begins to dull, a little later the swelling decreases and the mobility of the joint increases.
Depending on the cause and stage of the disease, a course of 5-7 injections with intervals of 5 to 7 days is recommended. For example, plasma therapy for arthrosis requires taking into account the age of the patient, the stage of the disease and features, including concomitant pathology. So, with degenerative-dystrophic processes, to prolong remission, it is necessary to carry out the procedure at least 2 times a year, and with shoulder injuries, one course is often enough. The most pronounced effect after the course is observed in 2-3 months. In some cases, the timely implementation of this procedure eliminates the need for surgical treatment.
