Low Downloads For New App Nowadays

Hi,
I just published a new game in google play store few days ago.
The number of daily downloads is very low around 5 downloads a day.
Compared to the game that I published in the same category early this year,
which managed to drive 100+ daily downloads since it was published,
I’m wondering if it is harder for new app/game to drive downloads nowadays?
I’m thinking of marketing this new game.
Would it be better to buy 50 installs per day for consecutively 20 days or buy 1000 installs at one goal?
Which will have a better result?

Nowadays, there many apps being uploaded to Playstore, so getting new downloads for new apps is very challenging. However, you can do many things to get downloads such as ASO and promote ur apps on social networks.

The game market is very saturated these days and you’re going to have to put in some extra work if you want to succeed. Here’s a few options:

-Spend some time researching how to do proper ASO and make sure you submit localization translations
-Consider reaching out to other game developers/friends and ask for reviews
-Contact other game developers and offer to do cross promotions
-Submit your app to game review sites and popular youtube channels for a small chance of getting featured
-Get on social media and start building out your brand (FB Pages, Twitter, etc) and get active
-Join developer FB Groups and share your experiences/network
