Same In-Game currency in different apps. Allowed?

Hey everybody,

I’m currently working on a few games that all have some sort of in-game currency which can be earned by playing or by purchasing it via IAP.

Is it allowed to cross-use this currency in different apps?

Lets say I play app A and I earn 100 gold.

In App B I can use the 100 gold to unlock the pro version.

Is this allowed?

I can’t claim to know what Google/Admob will do … but here goes …

You are essentially asking whether user action in one game can benefit them in another game.

I don’t see why this should be prohibited - esp. if the IAP is benefitting Google (their 30% share of it).

You are not exercising any obvious “unfair” advantage by doing so - except for the fact that a user of your one game may prefer to use your other apps (because they can leverage their earnings from the other game in this game).

And actually I remember having read something about this topic in the policies. Maybe I’m just wrong…
