What does the performance column in the Experiments section in Google Play mean?

I have been playing with the experiments section and I don’t understand what the performance column is saying exactly and what does '90% confidence interval’mean. Can anyone explain

The tooltip for Performance says:

Expected change in install performance compared to the current version. There is a 90% chance that the expected change lies within the displayed range.

I think in your case it would mean, that if you applied the changes, that there is 90% chance you would see between -3.7% and +17.6% increase in downloads for your app.
