Using my app content in another similar app, good or bad?

I have an app that I want to use part of it’s text contents (eg Chemistry Tutorial Examples) in another new app of mine. Is it against any Google policy on content redistribution?

Yes, lot of user extract data from apk & use extracted data. But don’t worry contact with Google & complaint. This is against content policy.

How is it against their policy if you own the contents of both apps?

That is what I wanted to find out. I own the content that I wanted to use in another app. The new app is not a duplicate of the old one

I cannot see any problems with this. Companies reuse assets all the time, so I do not understand why Google would have a different policy.
