Are you allowed (within Google’s remit) to release an app that has certain features that are “coming soon”. I know this is not allowed in ios however unsure with Android.
Any help would be appreciated

Yes, you are allowed to do so. I believe it was not allowed in iOS because someone tested it and reject for non fully functional app. But in Play Store case, nobody is checking it, and coming soon feature doesn’t violate any policy as far as I know.
Well, yup like @shuiwo said you are allowed to release and app that has certain features upcoming in future ! Also Android environment is a lot different from iOS you don’t have freaking barriers to prevent you from …

I have to agree, Android environment is so much better than iOS, much less restrictive.

yes, its but there are some places where it really is annoying the fragmentation problem is something I would say I hate that actually ! But still its good when compared with iOS !
