What does your mediation waterfall look like?

So I have a question. I’m wondering how everyone has designed their waterfalls. More specifically, how far apart do you have the ecpm between each ad placement and how many total placements do you have?

For example, my waterfall looks something like:

  1. Admob banner with floor price of $1.50
  2. MMedia banner with floor price of $1.49
  3. FAN banner with floor price of $1.48
  4. Amazon banner with floor price of $1.47
  5. Admob banner with floor price of $1.25
  6. MMedia banner with floor price of $1.24
  7. FAN banner with floor price of $1.23
  8. Amazon banner with floor price of $1.22
…so on and so forth until I reach 0.10 ecpm.

I actually have a lot of placements in my waterfall (around 15 with a 0.25 ecpm difference between each placement, with the top most placement being around 1.50 ecpm).

What does yours look like? Is there a downside to having 50 placements in a single waterfall with like a $0.10 ecpm difference between each placement? I use mopub to mediate.

Do you add multiple “copies” of AdMob/FAN/etc networks to manage something like that? Also FAN has only 3 ecpm level so at most can mediate it 3 times

For Interstitial, I use something like AdMob 10$/ Flurry 9$/ AdMob 8$/ FAN max eCPM/ AdMob 6$/ FAN mid eCPM /AdMob 4$ /AdMob 2$ /Flurry 1$/Fan min eCPM / AppNext
