mobileCore shutdowns its SDK?

Hi all dev,

Today, I received an email from mobileCore stating that they will close and merge with Supersonic. They will no longer serve ads for their SDK after June. They asked us to delete their SDK and integrate with Supersonic SDK. Will we lose our old data and revenue after migrating to Supersonic?

Didn’t get such e-mail… I think it’s fake. It’s even too late to change anything before june

That would be shame. Anyways mobilecore has been performing poor for me. Google is so sensitive that even changing the apk with some other ad network can cause suspension. Just 2 days back, they suspended an app for content rating because ad served was of casino app but content rating is 3+ years. I mean if we by mistake skip one small thing in app and Google finds it, it gives suspension most of the time. I will have to see what apps of mine are using mobilecore and how much traffic they are getting before taking a call on updating the apk. Don’t want to mess with Google play account for few cents.

Hello Developers,

We are confirming an email was sent earlier this week regarding ironSource’s merge with Supersonic. Supersonic provides industry leading mobile ad monetization and mediation products, and together with ironSource’s monetization tools, creates the most complete end-to-end solution for helping your mobile apps succeed.

As part of this process, we are migrating all mobileCore publishers onto our new SDK.

Regarding your questions:

  • In July you will receive all pending payment generated with mC (until June 30th).
  • You will still be able to log into the mC dashboard and view all of your data.
  • The dashboard will be available until the end of 2016.

Please feel free to reach out to mobileCore support team for more information.

So you are saying that we should soon be updating sdk again with one of supersonic’s?
What happens to users who still got the mC sdk in their apps like, for example, until end of 2016? All money is in your pockets? Or they see no ads?

So you’re saying no more payments until July?

How do you say?

It’s a joke?

Just just we updated our applications due to security bug in older versions of your SDK and now tell us to migrate and update again ?.

No thanks.

We will migrate, but not to Supersonic.

Do any other serious and responsible candidate?

We’re tired of wasting time with nonsense.

goodbye MC

Hi @mobileCore. I just tested Supersonic SDK but theirs ad inventory for interstitial ads is not widely available for all countries like mobileCore. Will mobileCore ad inventory be combined with Supersonic?

Supersonic speciality is video ad mediation. I won’t bother with any other format with them and I m not going to be their sdk tester for migration.

This is a very bad joke.

I’ve had a lot of good things and bad things to say about Mobile Core over the years, but overall they did a nice job. However, I’m affraid this will be the end of our relationship.
Guys - Appnext, Avocarrot, Admob and some of the mediations - they all do a good job. time to move on.

dont shutdown mobilecore, many company change, admob, startapp,… but no company remove all ads from developer, i think you should dont allow new app use sdk
but old app is ok.
As google, they always make that

I wish they don’t shutdown mobileCore at all as this network, its ads, and technology are very good! I love mC since I started using them, but now it seems they are going to abandon this cool brand. Supersonic cannot be compared to mobileCore! I am really sad to know that mobileCore is leaving us. I miss their fast loading ads. I miss their sticky ads. :frowning:

Seems we can earn more money with Intertitial adds! But Supersonic’s Interstitial ad is not their focus. They focus on Video!

Just video is simply not going to cut it…you need more variety. And i’ve heard bad things about Supersonic. I’m not going to try them at least for the next 6 month.

Seems to me they should have done it the other way around - merge Supersonic into Mobile core. We’ll see what happens now.

I tried supersonic a year ago and the implementation was disgusting compared to mC’s sdk. And it would be a very nasty move if they shut down the sdk for non-updated apps.
That being said, I’d like to think something good may come out of this merge, such as SS’ rewarded ad units and API access to offers, and mC’s inventory and sdk’s reliability.

They should have merged SS into mC!

So all payments from now on will be done only in July?
