Google Play Strike Question

Hello,
I have a quick question regarding google play and strikes. Months back an app I published was suspended from google play due to its name. Another app I published yesterday was rejected due to an update in which I integrated ads. The ads were gambling ads. I switched it so now the gambling ads are not displayed. So my question is how can I tell if my google play account is in good standing. I know that the ad that got suspended is most likely a strike however what about the update that was rejected. Any insight or advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

From my limited experience, I think that the real Strikes are only suspended Apps (which still show in your Google Play as suspended).
Rejected updates, warning against keywords spam and similar minor warning which NOT result in your App being permanently suspended in my opinion aren’t counted as proper Strikes (at least not about the 3 Strikes = Out rule… they may still affect your account status if you get many of them)
Again, this is just from my limited experience so I may be wrong.

Thanks for your reply I appreciate it.

3 strikes is not 100% out. It really depends on Google, there is no confirmed rule on account suspension. Just try not to violate any policies.

Can you tell which ad network that lead to app suspension?

I agree. It will also depend on time between strikes and weight… but the magic number most of the times seems to be 3.

Chartboost, This is part of the email that I received

Policy Issue: Your app’s advertisements are inconsistent with your app’s content rating. Your app was rejected for violating the Developer Program Policies.
The content of your app must be rated in accordance with our Content Rating Guidelines.
These guidelines apply to all content in your app, including user generated content, in-app products, and advertisements.

I would greatly appreciate anyone that knows what I did wrong so I can avoid it in the future. Also thanks to everyone for their input and advice.

What content rating your application had? Maybe you should use a higher rating and not “for everyone” because some of the ads might be targeted for a more mature audience.

On chartboost you can filter out gambling and +18 rated ads, that’s all you had to do.

Okay how would I do this. I see where you can uncheck catergories like casino however I do not see where you can limit +18 rated ads. Thanks

Advanced Targeting -> Block apps rated 17+

It’s simple, here you go:

What about gamble? I only find 17+
