A lot of applications are ad serving disabled from Admob ?

Hello,

I’m currently receiving a lot of email from Admob said that ad serving have been disabled to my applications (not in Play store).

All of the application which are not in Play store are ad serving disabled. Their explanation is meaningless. All application are completely legal and does not use any form of out-of-app ads. The only issue is the developer account was banned two months ago due to abuse DMCA request to one of my application and i haven’t created a new account yet. During that time, my application still received banner ads from admob until yesterday.

Have anyone has the same problem ?

Here is the email from admob, they all have the same content:

"Hello,
This email is to alert you that one of your applications is not currently in compliance with our AdMob program policies and as a result, ad serving has been disabled to your application.

Issue ID#: XXXXX

Ad serving has been disabled to: XXXXXXX

Action required: Check all other remaining applications in your account for compliance.

Current account status: Active

Violation explanation

We continually review all publishers according to our program policies. During a recent review of your app, our specialists found that it was not in compliance with our policies.

Action required: Check account for compliance
While ad serving has been disabled to the above app, your AdMob account remains active. We suggest that you take the time to review the rest of your applications to ensure that they’re in compliance with our policies, and to monitor your apps accordingly to reduce the likelihood of future policy emails from us. Additionally, please note that our team reserves the right to disable accounts at any time if we continue to see violations occurring.

Appeals
If you wish to appeal this disabling then you can do so by using our appeal form.

Thank you for your cooperation.

I also received an email with the same problem.

same, about 5 of them. stupid thing is that i’ve deleted them all this morning but still keep receiving emails that they are being disabled while they are deleted already…

same :(((((((((((((((

In 24 hours I got more than 24 no-reply emails for 10 different applications. My problem is that there is nothing wrong or missing with some of the applications, but “adsense specialist” decided to disable … I did an appeal for one app. The answer is below.

None of my applications are auto generated. As all of the apps there are similar apps in market. How can they decide to disable one application? If according to google play ratings my ratings are well enough, if uniqueness some of my applications uses best UI,UX according to rivals . A google specialists big ass makes a decision and you lose money … Where is justice :frowning:
What do you suggest guys ? What should I do?

Reply from google

Hello,

It is important for an app displaying AdMob to offer significant value to the user by providing unique and relevant content, and not to place ads on auto-generated app or apps with little to no original content.

Thank you for your email. However, please be aware that because your app was found to be in violation of our program policies, it is no longer eligible for participation in the AdMob program.

Your account remains active, and you are welcome to place Google ads on other apps which comply with AdMob publisher guidelines and policies. To help prevent policy violations in the future, we recommend reviewing these references to help keep your account in good standing.

Sincerely,

The Google AdMob Team

This has happened to me as well. I received one yesterday, and another one exactly the same today for the same app. They are absolute assholes. I attempted to communicate with them to ask to understand what the actual issue was, but clearly no reply.

They haven’t actually disabled the ads in the app though. :-/

Yes, the stupid thing is their emails are duplicated. I received two email for the same application. All of their responses are done by stupid automated answer machine. They really don’t care about developers, who directly make their money, not the users.

Yeah I have received about 3 emails like this that ads for my apps have been disabled, not a problem since I stoped using admob months ago.

hello everyone, who got his admob traffic banned (this is new kind of ban).
Were you sending significant amount of traffic to admob or just 500-1000 impressions daily. Recently I was told by an admob representative that they do watch out for the traffic quality(number of impressions and geography of traffic) of the apps.

I don’t think they would be looking at what the app does (original content etc.) as that is in play store’s territory.

Some of my apps were creating small traffic like 200 , while some other were consuming 10k-25k, they banned all the apps.

I do not understand why they created such a subjective term traffic quality?
Why do not declare such terms if they are creating such terms ?
Why do they just disable the application after creating such a term, they may also send warning mails, before disabling ?

Many developers cooperated with google for android are now kicked, this is a big mistake.

the reason is because Google is getting f***d by RIA and MPAA for allowing spam and DMCA violators make money. clean your apps from all copyrighted content and you won’t get banned. end of story.

I’m seeing the same issues. Got about 20 emails yesterday/today, and there were a few duplicate emails referreing to the same apps. The apps affected are all legitimate apps but they are no longer active in Google Play since they are under a banned developer account. Does any one have their admob account status affected too?

The same thing happend to me. Ad serving was disabled in 3 of my apps and I’m 100% sure they are compliant with they policies. Ads where working for about 1 year and there was no problem.
The worst is that I have no idea what was the reason of ads disabling and I will never know.

They also advice me to check all my other apps, but I don’t know what to look for because I don’t know the reason for banning my 3 apps

Now I need to switch all ads from admob to other advertisment network, because Admob can disable ads in all of my other apps without a reason. Goodbye Admob!

I advice all developers to do the same.

Are your apps still live on Google Play?

No. 5 months ago google banned my account. I had there 3 apps. Yesterday, ads serving for those 3 apps were disabled.

I suppose that google is turning off ads serving for those apps, which where running on banned accounts.

Given all the reports here and what I got, I believe that Admob is banning all ads serving to apps that are no longer live in Google Play, no matter whether the apps are compliant to their policies or not.

Yes, I think Google Admob is disabling all apps that were removed from google play or were in banned accounts.
But sometimes they make some mistakes. Look at my example:

  • Google removed one of my apps in 09/07/2012, I contacted the copyright owner that complained about my app
(a Fortune 100 company from US) and resolved the issue with them, 10 days later Google reinstated my app.
-Two days ago I received the email from google admob disabling ads for only this app with no reason in the email,
I submitted several appeal forms asking for the reason and they sent me yesterday this email:
As stated in our policies, Admob publishers may not display Google ads on webpages with content protected by copyright law unless they have the necessary legal rights to display that content. This includes apps that display copyrighted material, apps hosting copyrighted files, or apps that provide links driving traffic to apps that contain copyrighted material.
Now I am writing another appeal form saying that the copyright issues were resolved and they made a mistake.

This is bullshit from google. Instead of banning those 60-70% of apps which are violating copyright on play store as of now, they are behind the guys who have got their issues resolved in the past. Looks like they act only when they get a complaint else they are sleeping. If they start banning apps for copyright violation, the play store will come down crashing. Same applies to youtube videos.

But has anyone like me had this issue (getting emails for an app), but they haven’t actually disabled the admob feed? Check in your admob account. Is the app still enabled?

Same for me,I think same for all. I think to disable admob for an app takes a time like 72 hours, maybe, so after tomorrow we will not able to show any feed.

Some guys said their apps was not available in google play for a while. All of my apps are alive in google play, my google play account is also alive.

I am very sorry for updating to new admob:(
