May I ask, If someone creates 2 accounts and then publish 2 applications (same name, same code, icon). That would violate Google’s policies or not?

Why would you publish EXACTLY same app? I’m not saying that I’m doing this, but you can just change icon, name, appearance a little bit, maybe lil bit of functionality and noone will notice…

And you are basically competing with your own app meaning less downloads for both of them. :expressionless:

You can have multiple accounts and publish apps. However you cannot publish same apps on both accounts, they should be very different.

This is a great idea (well pre-Google update) if you tweak it a bit- Keep the inner workings roughly the same and change everything else. Market it from a different angle. Voila, you get more downloads without cannabalizing the first app. Tip from my book.
