Startapp Type of showing ads...

Startapp is my favorite ad network, they have nice ecpm (average 1,5$ for International users) , nice, fast and good looking ads, pay always on time and have easiest integration process what is very important for me when I wanna show ads on start, exit ,on destroy,on back and slider …(jonathan if appnext will make something more than ad on start I’ll change to yours asap  ).

What I dont like in startapp? firstly permission … I like ad networks with only internet permission, there is additionally a wi-fi … Startapp ppl dont like permissions, plz remove it on future…

Second, ads like “you have virus etc.” from this year I see a lot of them and in reviews ppl think that my app is a virus and left this comment! and average stat from 4.0 goes to 3.7 because of this! this is so bad and dangerous I think :-/

Hey wladca,

First, thank you for using StartApp

I just wanted to jump in and say that if you see any StartApp ads in your app that say “You Have a Virus” or are suspicious to you, please reach out to our support team at [email protected]. Sometimes, ads will slip through the cracks and make their way into our traffic. If you alert our team, we can stop the ads and reach out to the advertiser so that you won’t see those ads anymore.

We do understand your frustration and we are doing everything we can to make sure this doesn’t happen.

Regards,
Cassidy

Appnext like any other ad networks allow all kinds of ads. It should not be a problem to launch an ad in those places, no matter if its startapp, appnext, admob or any other. I’ll mention @jonathan so he will confirm when he reads this.

Hi Wladca,

Just to let you know that at Airpush we just released a beta version of our SDK that is not getting flagged by most of the anti virus apps on the market. Our new 360 abstract ads are highly engaging with solid CPMs and fill, along with our smartwall and pay per download. We have additional features to ensure ad compliance and no virus ads are served.

PM me if you would like to chat more.

Nick

Hi @wladca,

First of all, we do have ad that fit not not app launch, but any type of location and event - exit’ game over, back button, etc. PM or email me ([email protected]) to discuss further. Plus, the eCPMs are pretty high right now, compared to other networks (I won’t mention names, but check other threads).

As for the Virus ad issue - let me comment in the next reply

@allagainstyou, in principal - you are right. However, since Appnext works only with app promotion campaign (rather then mobile landing pages and other promotion types) the chances you’ll see that ad on Appnext are very low. Much lower then in CPM or CPC based network (like all ones mentioned here).

But hey, anything can happen in this world. And when it can, it usually does

I think my message was misleading. When I said “ad networks allow all kinds of ads”, I was thinking about the ad placement, not the ad content. My choice of words was quite unfortunate. In my post, I just wanted to point out that it depends on developer how you show the ads, ad networks just provide you the ads and a developer shows them however he wants.
I did not want to comment virus ads at all. I’ll be more specific next time.

No problem.

As for what you meant - you are right. Developers do have to decide for themselves where to locate the ads. However… some networks, and Appnext is one of them, can help you in this porcess. He have an integration specialist dedicated to doing just that. If developers are willing to test new ideas and ad locations, we can help them. I’m pretty sure some of the other networks do that as well.

Thanks for reply. I’m in short way to change to your ad network for a longterm but I have only this 3 questions more  .
In appnext few weeks ago in integration section were “welcome screen” , “app walls” etc. options , today when I checked was only interstitial ads and native. You disable them?

get-accounts permission give much more earnings ? how much more % average? for me if lower permissions than better ,this is why I ask …
and last question ,do you have weekly payouts? If yes, it will be automatically or I need to contact with support?

Please answer and 2morrow I’ll start to mix appnext with startapp

@allagainstyou agree with your point and also wanted to add that in some cases the developer’s control can extend to:
a) how the ad will appear to the user (i.e. custom integrations)
b) when the ad will appear (i.e. frequency caps)
c) what ad will appear (i.e. category filters)
