Why? Why waste your time with developers at all?
I recently launched my own ad network, similar to airpush, but will I go find other developers? Hell no
Why are you wasting your time with a bunch of developers who have nothing more then junky apps to begin with? You say quality but having 50,000 wall paper apps isn’t quality.
Just go look @ airpushes advertiser page on their home page, they have a internal account with 500k account balance running campaigns themselfs, why? Because it’s stupid profitable

Whats the point? Last year alone I put up almost 5,000 apps MY SELF and they aren’t spam apps what so ever, all white hat legit quality apps - just over 330M installs i did all on my own no investors, nothing and that was with ZERO cross promoting or anything

Hell when you have an ad network you don’t need ANYONE, I’ve been running mine with a few friends for months now and the volume is amazing, it’s too easy,
I mean airpush and every other ad network runs internal campaigns up the ass, I wouldn’t be surprised if airpush had a team of indians uploading apps too

making your own ad network isn’t easy man,

making your own ad network isn’t easy man, mines been in development for 6 months almost and it isn’t even completed theres always so much to do, i think madserve lets you put up your own stuff but they charge you for it,
having something custom done isn’t cheap either, theres a lot of testing and everything involved,
personally i’m not going to be publicly releasing my ad network for atleast a year because i want something extremely stable first, i personally want to run 100M installs through it first before i let everyone else do it. If I were you i’d search for a self hosted self serve ad network, keep in mind converting your own traffic takes time and testing and optimizing just like a regular PPC campaign but it’s all very well worth it in the end.
Ad networks make 100m’s a year because they pay developers the base CPC and then profit everything over top, so if base CPC is 3 cents, they pay you maybe 2, and say a advertiser is paying 13 cents, so 10 cents above base, the ad network will take easily 9-11 cents and slide you 1-3 cents to keep you quite, the higher eCPMs are just networks paying developers a higher CPC, it all looks good but in reality the network is still raking in 200% profit
And for those who are curious, yeah every ad network can adjust the developers CPC payout, they will say they can’t/won’t but i’ve ran enough volume over several ad networks to gain the trust of some higher ups that have shown me these ad networks backends, some are obviously not as shady as others - Although don’t get mad or be surprised, the amount of fraud clicks in mobile is ridiculous too and the networks have to balance everything out for all of the developers otherwise they’ll end up broke and unable to pay anyone
So in closing, if you want to complain about low eCPMs and such, go stop the indians and such who run massive fraudulent campaigns and traffic that screw everyone over

Why would i go out and find people to run for me when I’m already one of the top developers and advertisers on a few ad networks already? I can just run everything myself and profit 50x more and plus then i control the quality, i don’t need to worry about little beedo in india putting up a spammer spiderman app or running fraud clicks, i control everything if i do it myself
you don’t need anyone but traffic, which is simple…just put up your own apps, and cross promote them so they rank good in the store and GG Rekt
As I understand, you are adverstising own apps in your apps. If you don’t have any adverstisers, so who is paying to you for showing ads? If you have own cross-promote ad network your apps must have in-app billing or there is no way to monetize this - without revemue from ads.

Cross promoting is a means to get users without having to invest $$ for installs
